Success at local events with cross country and hockey

The past few weeks have been action-packed and filled with incredible achievements here at Mansel Park. From the Cross Country Challenge to the Upper Key Stage 2 hockey tournament, the children have shown their dedication, resilience, and teamwork in ways that have made us all so proud.  

Cross Country took place at the Sport Centre, against all the schools in Southampton and our children ran with great enthusiasm and determination. Despite the tough competition, they showed incredible resilience, supporting each other throughout the race. It was wonderful to watch them push through the challenges and achieve personal bests. 

In addition to the Cross Country Challenge, our Upper Key Stage 2 hockey team took part in a highly competitive hockey tournament this week. They displayed fantastic teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship, and their hard work paid off when they secured an impressive 3rd place! The team returned to school proudly wearing their medals, and received a big applause during assembly!
