Friday 8th September
This week we arrived back at school to an abundance of activity. During the summer break, our allotments flourished with life! Our little gardeners were absolutely delighted to reap a bountiful harvest of diverse fruits and vegetables they lovingly nurtured. Excitingly, our school kitchen incorporated the freshly-picked beans into their diverse vegetable selection for lunch. The children savoured each bite, knowing that they had personally cultivated these vegetables at school. They children enjoyed eating them knowing that they had grown them at school. As for the rest, we joyfully shared them with parents as they picked up their children at the end of the day. We're eagerly looking forward to hearing about the delightful culinary creations they’ve whipped up with these home-grown treasures!
“I took two corn on the cobs home last night! We boiled them and had them with our beans on toast for dinner.”

“I took apples and some cucumbers home that we had grown at school. I took a bite out of them both and they were really yummy!”
