WASTE FREE LUNCHBOX

We are excited to announce an upcoming initiative at our school that we believe will have a positive impact on both our students and the environment. Starting this week, we launched the "Waste-Free Lunchbox" campaign.

In alignment with our commitment to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability, we aim to encourage our students to make more environmentally responsible choices in their daily lives. The "Waste-Free Lunchbox" initiative will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.

We kindly request your support in helping your child participate in this initiative. Here are some guidelines to assist you and your child in preparing a waste-free lunchbox:

Things to Avoid:

● Plastic Bags: Please refrain from using disposable plastic bags for packing your child's lunch.

● Cling Film or Foil: Avoid using cling film or foil to wrap individual items in your child's lunchbox.

● Disposable Drink Cartons or Bottles: Instead of single-use drink containers, opt for reusable bottles for drinks.

● Pre-Packaged Snacks: We encourage you to minimise pre-packaged snacks such as chocolate bars and crisps. Instead, consider healthier, homemade alternatives.

Things to Pack:

● Snacks in Reusable Containers: Use reusable containers to pack snacks, sandwiches, fruits, and other lunch items.

● Drinks in Reusable Bottles: Fill a reusable water bottle with your child's favourite beverage, helping reduce plastic waste.

This initiative not only reduces waste but also educates our students about the importance of environmental conservation. It fosters a sense of responsibility and care for our planet, which are values we hope to impart during their time at our school.

We understand that transitioning to waste-free lunchboxes may require some adjustments, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we embark on this eco-friendly endeavour. If you have any questions or need assistance with making the transition, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to support you every step of the way.

We believe that, together, we can make a significant difference in reducing our environmental footprint. By working as a community, we can instil the importance of sustainability in our students and help create a cleaner, greener future for them.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school's mission. We look forward to a successful launch of the "Waste-Free Lunchbox" initiative and appreciate your involvement in this important effort.
